Tunc Karadut
Founder & CEO
After completing his BSc in Economics at Koç University with Dean's awards, Tunc went into private markets in resources and energy. At Doğuş Mining, he led strategy, corporate development and an exploration program under JORC and NI 43 101 standards. His work included transaction negotiations and financing discussions with institutional investors across regions. At TMT Investment Holdings, he structured the turnaround of two distressed thermal power plants and negotiated debt restructuring. He then earned his MBA at Smith School of Business, Queen's University, in Canada, clearing CFA Level I in the same period. His interest in alternative data, quantitative models and systematic investing led him into AI, and to building the data and AI pipeline powering Mosaic.
Hakan Azaklioglu
Cofounder & CTO
Hakan brings over 17 years of cybersecurity experience across healthcare, fintech and retail. His work includes cyber defense operations at Wellstar Health System, directing PayPal's Global Cyber Defense Centers and building The Home Depot's Security Operations Center. Earlier, he designed infrastructure and developed applications at Lockheed Martin. His technical background spans network architecture, database replication, application development and cloud infrastructure. At Mosaic, he works with Tunc on resource allocation and security across the stack, applying his experience with enterprise systems.
Melody Zhang
Cofounder & Legal Operations Coordinator
Melody supports Mosaic's operational workflows and process documentation. Her experience includes coordinating projects, managing documentation and synthesizing information across sources. She led teams of over 20 teaching assistants, contributed to educational materials through Queen's Business Law Clinic and researched risk mitigation in M&A transactions. She follows compliance technology and legal AI developments. Melody holds a JD from Queen's University Faculty of Law, an MBA from Smith School of Business and a BSc in Neuroscience. She speaks English and Mandarin fluently.
